Parents, Families and Friends of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Persons
PFLAG - Central Maryland Chapter
Meetings: Central MD chapter meetings are held 7:30pm to 9:00pm on the first Wednesday each month.  We
currently meet at the Grace United Church of Christ, located at
25 East 2nd Street in downtown Frederick.    Enter
through the side door down the left side sidewalk.  Once inside take an immediate right and we'll be in that big room.
Everyone is welcome at our PFLAG meetings; there is absolutely no fee, registration or membership required.
Mission: Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) promotes the health and well-being of gay,
lesbian bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends through:

* support, to cope with an adverse society
* education, to enlighten an ill-informed public
* advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure civil rights

PFLAG provides an opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation, and acts to create a society that is healthy and
respectful of human diversity.  If you are looking for a safe place to laugh, cry, question, or celebrate; to have frank
discussions with gays and lesbians and their allies; to learn more about the effects of homophobia in our society; and
to advocate for a more just society, our chapter is the place for you.

WE NEED YOUR BODY!!
Sunday Jan 29th 5-6pm there will be a Congregations United For Marriage Equality forum in
downtown Frederick with elected officials Senator Ron Young, Del. Galen Clagett, and Del.
Patrick Hogan.  A handful of Frederick congregations organized this forum to solidify
support of the Marriage Equality bill coming up to vote in Annapolis this session.  Speaking
participants have already been selected, but your support is needed to demonstrate that the
public is behind this bill.  The forum will be held at Evangelical Reformed United Church of
Christ, in the Fellowship Hall located at 11 W. Church Street in downtown Frederick.
ARRIVE PROMPTLY AT 5:00pm.  This is probably the most important event of the year to
sway those still on the fence of support, a large numbers of supporters in person is powerful.
