| Meetings: Central MD chapter meetings are held 7:00pm to 9:00pm on the first Wednesday each month. We meet in Kemp Hall at 4 East Church Street in downtown Frederick. Once inside take a left at the staircase and proceed to the last room on the left. Everyone is welcome at PFLAG meetings; there is absolutely no fee, registration or membership required. LGBTQ Youth Group meeting, run by The Frederick Center, meets across the hall. |
| Mission: Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends through: * support, to cope with an adverse society * education, to enlighten an ill-informed public * advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure civil rights PFLAG provides an opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity. If you are looking for a safe place to laugh, cry, question, or celebrate; to have frank discussions with gays and lesbians and their allies; to learn more about the effects of homophobia in our society; and to advocate for a more just society, our chapter is the place for you. |
