Wes Andrews announced Positive Influence’s upcoming fundraisers.  The variety show is August 26th and
there will be a basket bingo on September 23rd.

Lois discussed a fundraising idea.  We would like to produce the book “Chicken Stew” compiled by Tiffany
Jarman as a fundraising project.  We are looking for 4 business sponsors at $100 each to cover costs so that
all sales monies would be ours.  “Chicken Stew” is the October selection for the Book Club and will be
presented in a staged reading as a PFLAG fundraiser in November.  The reading last year generated a $200
donation for our chapter.  If anyone knows of potential business sponsors, please contact Lois or Tiffany
tiffersjar@aol.com.

Wes introduced our guest speaker, the Rev. Michael Hydes of the Hagerstown Metropolitan Community
Church.  Rev. Hydes spoke about the history of marriage.

Social time followed.  The meeting adjourned at approximately 9pm.  20  people were in attendance.
