Minutes October 25, 2006
introduced Shawn Nakia who presented the group with a make-up demonstration and within 30 minutes he
transformed himself into “Hannah.”

After the demonstration, the following business items were discussed:

1-the upcoming “A Little Song A Little Dance” event.  Thursday November 16th is the dramatic presentation of That
Day.  All proceeds from this production will go to our chapter.  Copies of the book will be available for purchase.  The
$5.00 cost is a donation to our organization.  On Friday the 17th, the annual female impersonation show will go on.  
Proceeds from this event will go to Positive Influence and the Baltimore HIV children’s program.  Tickets are on sale
through the Weinberg Center (301)228-2828.

2-Our holiday event will include a food drive for the new Positive Influence food bank.  Members attending our
December 6th event are encouraged to bring canned goods or a cash donation.  The holiday party will have the
theme of “Bring a Family Member.”

3-The book club will meet again on Wednesday November 15th at the C. Burr Artz library at 7pm.  That Day is the
book selection.  Journal contributors will join us as will the graphic designer of the book, Scott Grove, and its creator,
Tiffany Jarman.  

4-The youth group held its picnic on Saturday October 21st.  There were approximately 15 people in attendance and a
great time was had by all.  Thanks to Elizabeth and Scott for organizing this event.

5-PFLAG will host a trip to the movies on Friday November 10th.  We will be attending a showing of the new movie
“Running with Scissors.”  Check the website for more information.
